The first Western Province Stage Door (the inspiration of Ken Wheeler who donated the trophy to be contested by 3-5 handicappers) was a great tournament, won on a 19-hoop play-off by Mariel de Bie (Left) who beat Judith Hanekom (Right) (10 – 9).

A great match to watch and could have gone either way. By coincidence the same two played the last scheduled match of the day against each other and again Mariel produced the goods to win 10 – 8.
